

Patrick M. Watts joined Zashin & Rich Co., L.P.A. in 2007. Patrick is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association ("OSBA") as a Specialist in Labor and Employment Law. Patrick's practice areas include labor relations, equal employment opportunity, employment discrimination, and all other employment related torts. Patrick provides guidance to employers concerning a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including overtime and minimum wage compliance, family and medical leave compliance, employment discrimination, retaliation and wrongful discharge.
Patrick advises and defends employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and other state civil rights agencies. Patrick also litigates employment discrimination matters, overtime and minimum wage claims, family and medical leave act claims, and all other employment related torts in state and federal court. Patrick has litigated numerous high profile Family and Medical Leave Act and Fair Labor Standards Act cases.
Patrick has lectured on a variety of topics including wrongful discharge, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Patrick earned his B.A. from the College of Wooster and went on to earn his law degree (J.D.) from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where he focused his legal education on labor and employment law.
Patrick is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Patrick is a member of the American, Ohio State, Cleveland, Lake County, and Ashtabula County Bar Associations. |
