Robert I. Zashin co-founded Zashin & Rich Co., L.P.A. in 1981. Prior to forming Zashin & Rich, Bob was a trial referee in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic Relations. At Zashin & Rich, Bob concentrates in domestic relations law and counsels clients on the entire spectrum of family law issues. He has extensive experience in trial courts and appellate courts throughout Ohio and in the Ohio Supreme Court. Bob has also been involved in many of the most important family law cases in Ohio during the past three decades. Bob handles large and complicated domestic relations matters, especially those dealing with custody issues. He has worked extensively in all aspects of domestic relations law, including: divorce, dissolution, child custody, domestic violence, support issues, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO's), marital settlement agreements and equitable property divisions. Recognizing his experience in this area of the law, the Ohio Supreme Court appointed Bob to the Committee on Child Support Guidelines. Bob earned his B.A. from Rutgers University in 1962 and an M.A. in education in 1966. Bob earned his law degree (J.D.) from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1967. He is licensed to practice in both Ohio and New York. Bob is a past president of the Ohio Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and was a member of the Character and Fitness Committee of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association. He is a life member and an honorary trustee of the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Bob has lectured frequently at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, the Ohio Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and at domestic relations seminars on all areas of family law. He is a member of the Ohio State, Cuyahoga County and Cleveland Bar Associations and the International, American and Ohio Academies of Matrimonial Lawyers. Bob hosts a weekly talk radio show and appears on local and national television programs discussing legal issues. He has appeared with Phil Donahue and Tom Snyder and frequently appears as a legal analyst on television stations. Bob has been listed The Best Lawyers in America and was recognized as one of the best lawyers in the State of Ohio. Bob was also recognized as one of Cleveland's Top 10 Lawyers. |
